CROSS LIFE

Within the framework of the CROSS LIFE circular economy project, funded by the European Community, Vinavil is collaborating with other companies (B-Plas, Hera Ambiente, and AqA) and universities (UniBo, UniPV). Due to the flood that struck Emilia Romagna last year, there has been a reshuffling of industrial partners (Hera Ambiente replaced Unigrà). The project has also been extended by two years, now concluding in 2027. 

The plan includes the construction of an initial DEMO plant for the production of crotonic acid from sewage sludge at AqA, followed by another plant at Hera Ambiente. Vinavil will subsequently use the bio-based crotonic acid to produce poly(vinyl acetate-co-crotonic acid) and explore its potential use with photoinitiators. Additionally, Vinavil has collaborated with UniBo in data collection for the LCA study on the production of the vinyl acetate-crotonic acid copolymer.

MADERALIA 2024 IN SPAIN 

A delegation of Vinavil has participated in Maderalia, an International fair for materials, technology, components, machinery and tools for wood industry and carpentry, in  Valencia  (SPAIN).

From May 14th to 17th 2024, Feria Valencia hosted  the event for the furniture industry, decorators  and carpenters, with the participation of international firms in the wood sector.

Vinavil was represented by Fabio Chiozza, Mario de Filippis, Fabrizio Bernardini and Javier Ochoa who held numerous meetings with companies of the auxiliary wood industry.

Vinavil's participation in Maderalia reinforces its commitment to this sector through products for the coating and decoration of wood, gluing and assembly of wooden pieces and manufacturing of panels.

VINAVIL AT JAZZ ASCONA OF JUNE 2024

There is great excitement in Ascona, a Swiss municipality in the Canton of Ticino which is preparing to host the 40th edition of JazzAscona, scheduled from 20 to 29 June. For its first 40 years, JazzAscona offers itself an exhibition that celebrates the street art inspired by the jazz of New Orleans, twinned with Ascona. This exhibition of works and murals, Jazz Off The Wall, is curated by the internationally renowned Italian-Swiss artist Yuri Catania, known for his extra large format photographic works on public and private buildings. His works will have an ephemeral nature. The artist will create his works with the help of the entire local community, including children, institutions, locals and volunteers. The technique used is that of paste-up, that is, the application of photographs printed on paper on the walls. For this purpose, the best glue that YURI has always used is our VINAVIL NPC STELLA BIANCA. Vinavil, by joining this partnership with the supply of glue, becomes a sponsor and an integral part of this beautiful exhibition. There will be also a VINAVIL mural built by a small team of colleagues from Milan. Furthermore, it will be possible to live the complete experience of the exhibition in a multi-sensory journey that unfolds between art, jazz music and technology, as - thanks to augmented reality - through the ArtiVive app, each installation will reveal extra content with photos and videos, to be seen through your smartphone.
