EVENT

LIGNA 2025

We are proud to share that we took part for the first time in LIGNA 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing technologies, held in Hannover, Germany.

From May 26 to 30, our team was present at the Hannover Messe, where we showcased our solutions, exchanged ideas with industry leaders, and built new connections across international markets.

Being part of LIGNA was a significant milestone for us  - a step into a global platform where innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship meet. We had the chance to present our latest developments and gain valuable feedback from professionals across the woodworking and manufacturing sectors.

A sincere thank you to everyone who visited our booth, shared their expertise, and made this experience truly meaningful.

CAREER DAY 2025

We were pleased to be among the companies featured at Career Day 2025, promoted by Politecnico di Milano.

On May 14, at the Bovisa Campus, we took part in this dynamic event full of interaction, where companies had the opportunity to introduce themselves directly, while young participants were able to explore the world of work up close and gain valuable insights for their professional development.

Thanks to this occasion, Vinavil was able to connect with potential talents - recent graduates and students nearing graduation from Bachelor's and Master's programs in Chemical, Civil, Materials, Mechanical, and Management Engineering.
It was a pleasure to hear about their aspirations and to share the opportunities offered by our company.

At the same time, we hope we successfully conveyed our identity, what we do, and the values that drive us - with enthusiasm.

It was a moment of mutual enrichment, and we returned full of energy and inspiration for the challenges ahead.

PRODUCTS

NEW BIO VINYLIC PRODUCTS

Following the ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) obtained for both of its Italian production sites, Vinavil began purchasing BIO-attributed Vinyl Acetate last month.
This marks an important step: from now on, BIO-attributed vinylic polymers will be available alongside our existing BIO-attributed acrylic product range.

Products labeled with the suffix BIO are based on a partial replacement of fossil raw materials with sustainable, renewable alternatives. The term "BIO-attributed" indicates that the use of biobased feedstock has been accounted for using the mass balance approach, in accordance with the ISCC PLUS certification scheme - verified and certified by an independent third party.

All deliveries are accompanied by a "sustainability declaration" specifying the share of raw materials from renewable sources, which can vary from 5% to 40%, depending on the product.

Our BIO-attributed polymers are offered as "drop-in" solutions - meaning they can be used as a direct substitute for traditional products, offering improved sustainability (such as a lower carbon footprint) without the need for technical requalification.

TEAM

WELCOME EZIO, THANK YOU CESARE!

After 40 years of work at Vinavil, our colleague Cesare Casetta has retired.

He is succeeded by Ezio Valente, who joins the team of Sales Area Managers. Ezio holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Padua and completed an 18-month research experience at the University of Louisville, Kentucky (USA).

After his first 5 years working in the field of solvent-based enamels, Ezio transitioned into the world of wood and assembly adhesives.

Over his 30-year career, he has held roles as an application technician for the European market, commercial manager for Wood and Assembly in Italy, and manager of H.B. Fuller’s distributors in the Balkans.

He also represented H.B. Fuller for 6 years on the Board of the Adhesives Group of AVISA, and was an active member of the wood adhesives group and normative wood sector group of UNICHIM, always on behalf of H.B. Fuller.

In the photo, we see them together: we sincerely thank Cesare for all his contributions and wish Ezio a future full of success and satisfaction!

ART

VINAVIL & UNIVERSO

Vinavil, once again this year, collaborated with Yuri Catani, the Swiss-Italian visual artist known for his monumental street art installations. With our donation of VINAVIL NCP STELLA BIANCA glue, Yuri created the work "Universo," a striking paste-up composition weaving black-and-white faces of those who live the USI (University of Italian Switzerland in Lugano) every day: students, professors, academic staff, and collaborators.

The piece consists of a large 20-meter-diameter kaleidoscopic circle immersed in a symbolic garden made of colorful flowers, like a rainbow. The colored flowers represent the different Faculties: green for Economics, blue for Communication, yellow for Computer Science, red for Biomedicine, gray for Architecture, and purple for Theology, emphasizing the meaning of the "Play Your Future" campaign, created by the same artist.

A chromatic and botanical language that highlights the uniqueness of each academic path and the personal development of each individual, metaphorically compared to a seed blossoming in fertile ground like that of USI.

The street art piece, made through participatory art methods, involved volunteers of all ages, including middle and high school students who enjoyed cutting out photos. The work was inaugurated on Saturday, May 10, 2025, during the University’s OPEN DAY.

"Universo" aims to be a visual mosaic telling the identity and energy of the USI community. The University, in fact, exists thanks to the people who work, teach, and study there.
