Vinavil sponsored the Symposium held from June 30 to July 3, 2024, in the prestigious setting of Milazzo Castle (Sicily). The event was organized by ITAE (Institute of Advanced Technologies for Energy of Messina), also known as the Italian Institute for Research on Chemical Methods and Processes for Energy Transformation and Storage.
Following its extensive experience and patent publications in the battery sector, Vinavil sought to strengthen its collaboration with a center of excellence like ITAE to explore new potential developments in related fields.
Recent joint studies, conducted by the Mapei and Vinavil laboratories, culminated in the publication of a paper titled "Development of Anion Exchange Blend Membranes for Electrochemical Applications" (authors: V. Baglio, F. Chiozza, F. Curto, E. Mosca, L. Pellicano, I. Gatto, T. Zanetta).
The presentation and Vinavil's booth were met with great success among the 200 participants, in an international setting rich with high-level scientific and entrepreneurial contributions.
Once again, the collaboration between Mapei and Vinavil’s R&D teams, combined with ITAE's expertise, highlighted the potential of Vinavil polymers in fuel cell applications. The established working group will soon convene for a workshop to plan future R&D activities, consolidate the progress made so far, and identify new market opportunities for Vinavil polymers.
