On May 3, the 2023 edition of AITIVA DAY was held at Piacenza Fiera. AITIVA DAY is a day organized by AITIVA for the technicians from color manufacturers who have the opportunity to meet with the producers of raw materials to talk about new developments, regulatory and legislative updates. Numerous technicians and insiders from the most important Italian color factories participated, making the day useful and worthwhile for everyone. For Vinavil, Francesca Chiarinotti and Matteo Rizzonelli, R&D Coating, Davide Colantoni and Massimo Aramini, Sales Area Managers, had the opportunity to present the latest industry innovations including Vinavil 04V and Vinapur 4702. The day was highlighted by the conference on Innovative Technologies with high priority in the Coating Industry and the panel discussion on the future of coating products. |

VINAVIL attended JEC 2023 in PARIS on April 25-27. Fabio Chiozza, Product Manager, and Arno Montorfano, Composite material specialist, visited customers and prospects of great interest and potential. JEC is the most important composite materials fair in Europe and probably worldwide, from raw material manufacturers (resins, additives, glass and carbon fibers etc.) to technology and finished part manufacturers. Industries represented range from marine to automotive via building, construction and wind power. VINAVIL had the opportunity to continue the consolidation of its business related to 'croton beads' (VINAFLEX CR50 and CR25). The product line also met the interest of new prospects from both, Italy and Europe. VINAFLEX CR50 and CR25 are used as anti-shrinkage additives in the hot molding of unsaturated polyester resin-based composite materials. VINAVIL product family is great for easy workability, simplicity of application and optimum technical and aesthetic properties. People find the particular molding products (both compression and injection) in their daily activities, starting from cars to household appliances, to electrical switches. |

LIGNA is the world’s leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing industry. It is organized by Deutsche Messe and VDMA Woodworking Machinery. It showcases the entire range of products and services for the primary and secondary industries such as tools, machines/systems for custom and mass production, surface technology, wood-based panel production, sawmill technology, energy from wood, machine components, automation technology, and machines/systems for forestry, round wood and sawn wood production. After four years, the industry used this opportunity to meet in presence in Hannover. Vinavil attended with 5 people (TS&D, PM, COMMERCIAL & MKTG DIR, AREA MANAGER). In addition to the presentations of tool and machinery solutions, visitors also participated in the discussions about highly relevant industry challenges at the LIGNA Stage. At LIGNA Campus participants from research presented their educational offers and projects. And at LIGNA Future Square powered by VDMA, startups from the industry showcased their business ideas. |

REGULATORY AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT The Regulatory function existed in Vinavil from the beginning of its activity in 1994, initially within R&D. Since 2013 it is an autonomous department. Regulatory ensures that all products and processes comply with the specific regulations by supporting the other functions in defining their activities throughlegislative evolution. It regulates the use of all the Vinavil's products in the various application sectors. For example, it collaborates with Vinavil R&D and with Corporate Product Safety Department of Vinavil's Parent Company Mapei S.p.A. Regulatory department continues to do the evolution of EC Regulation 1907/2006 known as REACH (Registration, Authorization and Evaluation of Chemical Substances) Among its prerogatives, it prepares documentation with the appropriate information of the various products with respect to the specific regulations of each application area. Regulatory also represents the company to certification bodies, in national and international associations of the various sectors of interest. |

We are pleased to summarize the new general fulfilments in compliance with Ministerial Decree No. 360 of 28 September 2022, containing the “Guidelines on the labelling of packaging pursuant to Article 219, paragraph 5, of Legislative Decree No. 152 of 3 April 2006”:
• on all packaging (primary, secondary and tertiary) producers must indicate the alphanumeric coding required by Decision 97/129/EC; • all packaging must be labeled in the form and manner that the company deems most suitable and effective for achieving the objective, through the use of digital channels (e.g., website), which can completely replace or complement the labelling shown directly on the packaging.

NEW DISTRIBUTOR FOR THE NETHERLANDS On May 1st Vinavil established an agreement with KEYSER & MACKAY to distribute our product portfolio in Netherlands. Since the company was establishes in 1894, KEYSER & MACKAY always played a major role as distributor of raw materials for coating and ink industry. Situated in the historic city of Amsterdam by one of the beautiful 17th century canals, KEYSER & MACKAY has an experienced Sales Team that works in close cooperation with raw material suppliers to offer full support to the final customers in their innovative and state of the art products. Coatings and inks are the main area of expertise for which KEYSER & MACKAY has a broad product portfolio (Byk additives, pigments etc.). Furthermore, it plays the key role in the industry of adhesives and sealants, plastics, textiles, construction, pharma and cosmetics. The goal of the new partnership for Vinavil is to improve our presence in the area, especially with the new acrylic dispersions for wood and metal applications, and for KEYSER & MACKAY to offer a product range that includes binders of one of the well-established European producers. |
